I am sorry, but I am just confuesed....
Background:
Hey there, me and my friends wanted to start playing this TCG game. We previously played the MMORPG but it got to addicting for us, we still loved WoW though so that is why we started playing this. I am playing a Boomkin deck, my 2 other friends are playing a Pally and a mage deck. There are not any BG's where we live cuuretnly, but my hobby shop that does yugioh and pokemon tourneys and locals wants to start soon.
The Question:
I have been looking around these forums to get cards/learn about the game, and I have noticed all these things about BG's and realm tournies. So can someone answer these questions...
What is a BG?
What is a realm tourney?
How do I know what Realm I am in?
What is the difference from a regular and a raid deck?
Thank you guys very much!

A BattleGround is usually a weekly tournament run at a local game store. Stores can purchase BattleGround kits that come with prizes to hand out like tshirts and Extended Art cards. These are considered lower level events.TeamMoonkin wrote:What is a BG?
A Realm Championship is a tournament that's only run once or twice a year, I can't remember. In order to play in it you have to qualify by placing high enough in one of the Realm Qualifier events that are run in the months leading up to one. These are considered higher level events.TeamMoonkin wrote:What is a realm tourney?
You're in Tanaris. I'm sure there's a map somewhere that shows which areas are part of which realms, but I don't know where that is. The only reason I know which realm your in is that I'm in San Diego as well.TeamMoonkin wrote:How do I know what Realm I am in?
A regular deck is something that you would play in a tournament. A raid deck is a deck designed for casual play where one person plays the raid boss against three to five other players with regular decks that are working together to beat you. The current raid decks are Onyxia, Molten Core, Magtheradon's Lair, Black Temple, and Naxxaramas.TeamMoonkin wrote:What is the difference from a regular and a raid deck?

Ok awesome! Thanks, this makes so much more since. What is the best raid deck to start off with and the most fun?

Onyxia was the first and will be the easiest raid for you to try to take down.

On the topic of raiding, as one of the raid specialists here on the forum...I'd suggest Onyxia first then do the raids in order of their release. Go to the "Official" Raid Deck thread in the decklist and strategy forum and you can see the descriptions.
