Is there like a sticky that has acronyms for new players?

Like what does a "Protector" do for example?

Protector is a keyword. There are rules documents they are currently working on that should be finished shortly. I'd suggest going to the rules forum and ask a bunch of questions. People are more than happy to answer your questions definitively.

You can also find the last version of the Comprehensive Rules at www.ude.com/wow/rules. It's definitely not something geared towards new players, but there's a glossary at the end that covers keywords and such that you might find useful.
